I suffer from the Monday blues. I’ve had them as early as kindergarten. It normally starts on Sunday evening. I thought it was something I would grow out of, but it hasn’t happened yet (LOL). But I still have hope.
As I awoke on Monday, I just didn’t feel like facing the drama, issues and the stupidity of others. As I drove into work I prayed and tried to get my mind off it.
The truth is I’ve realized the day is usually not as bad as I’ve made it to be in my mind. Knowing that somehow doesn’t make me feel better.
I’d been studying Philippians 4. The Holy Spirit brought to me remembrance Philippians 4:13 AMP:
I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]
I love the Amplified translation because it gets right down to the root of the matter!
As I began to meditate on this verse, I started to ward off those negative feelings. As it stands right now, God has called me to be where I am. It’s not where I aspire to be, but I recognize that it’s part of the process.
I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace! No matter what the day brings, I’m ready for it! Because I’m in Christ and he is in me I can do ALL THINGS.
How about you?
Are you ready for anything and equal to anything?
As you go through this week and the weeks to follow, believe that because of Christ you are ready for anything and equal to anything because he has put inner strength and confident peace in you.
Whatever the day brings or whatever life brings you are well able to handle it. You can’t handle it alone. But you can handle it through Christ.
You can do ALL THINGS! It didn’t say you can do SOME THINGS. But it says you can do ALL THINGS through HIM.
Let this scripture get into your mind, your heart and your spirit. Say it throughout the day and be strengthened as you go forth to do whatever God has called you to do.
Whatever endeavors you are trying to accomplish be strengthened and empowered through Christ knowing that he will see you through it.
Lord, I pray for whomever maybe reading this. I pray that you will show yourself strong in their life. I pray that you will touch their minds and their hearts and allow the words of Philippians 4:13 manifest in their life. Strengthen and empower them do to whatever you have called them to do in this season of their life. I pray that they will feel your love and your presence. In Jesus name I pray – Amen.
You Can Do ALL Things – Be Blessed
